Prior to Yahoo Health, Michele spent six years as Vice President and Editor-in-Chief at Women’s Health, where she oversaw all facets of the brand, including the magazine, website, apps, books, and the 28 international editions. Under her leadership, Women’s Health won a National Magazine Award for general excellence, was named “Magazine of the Year” by Advertising Age, and twice made Adweek’s Hot List.

EAT: The miso soup with zucchini noodles at Souen in the East Village of New York City is transcendent. For breakfast, I love quinoa—either savory (with a poached egg and avocado) or sweet (with almond milk and berries). Dinner is Il Buco, White Street, Claudette, or The Red Cat, all of which are in NYC.
DRINK: Green drinks made with fennel and lemon, homemade ginger ale, and warm coconut milk with Moon Juice’s Spirit Dust mixed in. And, red wine!
SWEAT: Strength training at David Kirsch’s Madison Square Club, jumping on the mini-trampoline, or doing TRX at home. In the summer, I love to stand-up paddle board.
READ: I’m currently reading Joan Didion’s collection of essays called The White Album, and I just finished Dan Harris’ 10 Percent Happier, which is a funny, relatable account of how he started meditating to quell life’s stressors. My favorite digital property is Yahoo Health, of course! I also love Yahoo’s News Digest app.
LISTEN: My friend Lewis Howes has a great podcast called The School of Greatness. He always has fascinating guests. When it comes to music, I’m pretty dependent on Pandora at this point—a few of the many stations I listen to include Everything But The Girl, Citizen Cope, and Bob Marley.
WATCH: I’m a Netflix binger. I’ve been really into BBC shows lately, such as Luther and The Fall. I’m not sure what my fascination is with serial killers! I also watch House of Cards and Homeland. Obviously, I’m more into drama than comedy.
PLACES: My friend’s apartment on Il Saint Louis in Paris; Coqui Coqui in Tulum and Merida, Mexico; Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace in Budapest; Solage Calistoga in Napa Valley, California.
RITUALS: Meditating, taking lavender baths and walking around New York City for hours.
DREAMS: I dream of being bi-coastal, having more than 10 consecutive days off, seeing a woman be elected president in my lifetime, and becoming fluent in another language (French or Spanish).
WHAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT ME: I hate running, and I haven’t missed a Madonna concert since 1984!
